The Jan Nowak-Jeziorański College of Eastern Europe in Wrocław and The German Culture Forum for Eastern Europe in Potsdam would like to kindly invite students and multiplier from Ukraine, Germany and Poland to participate in the III. edition of the
Bohdan Osadchuk Polish-German-Ukrainian School in Breslau/Wrocław.

This year the School starts on 27th of November and ends on 3rd of December. We will focus on the topic of perception of own national history and mutual perception of such history between the three nations. Students from each country will prepare lectures and workshops about their own history and culture (including movies, books etc. focused on modern history). The School schedule you will find below.

The main goal of the Osadchuk School is to better understand each other by learning about the other.

The school will mainly be held in Wojnowice castle (german: Schloss Zindel), but the participants will sleep in a hotel in Wrocław. Bus transfers from the hotel to the castle and vice versa will be organized.

The watercastle in Wojnowice near Wrocław offers a fantastic atmosphere for working in groups, explore the landscape and concentrating on a thing.

The School is designed for students from Germany, Poland and Ukraine.

Documents and eligibility

  • Recruitment requirements:
  • candidates are required to sign up by 23th October 2016.
  • Candidates are required to provide the Organiser with a CV and a passport photo.

Conditions of participation

  • The School offers a series of lectures, seminars, tutorials and workshops in the form of the 7-day School.
  • The participants are required to take part in all forms of activities offered by the Organiser.
  • English is the language of instruction. The participants are required to have a fairly fluent command of English which is sufficient to communicate with others and understand lectures with ease.

Payments

  • The School’s Organizer provides the participants with accommodation, food, teaching materials, entry tickets, bus transfers (hotel-castle) and local logistic.
  • The Organizer does not reimburse any travel costs to Wrocław borne by the participants.

Admission Committee

  • The Admission Committee decides on successful candidates by 24 October 2016.
  • The candidates will be notified on the admission via e-mail.
  • A formal invitation will be sent to successful Ukrainian candidates via e-mail (a formal visa requirement).

The school schedule

  • The participants are expected to arrive to Wrocław on 27th November 2016. Classes begin on 23th November 2015. The School ends on 4th December, 5th December 2016 is the day of departures.

Please notice – the organizers can change the dates of the School or even cancel entire event for reasons beyond force majeure.
